Cowbell has been a pioneer in Toronto's local, organic, and whole-animal movements. The chalkboard menu--rewritten daily, revised by the minute--not only announces the day's offerings, but gives a window onto the farms and seasons of Southern Ontario.
A hub for eaters, growers, and cooks, Cowbell is the kind of place where farmers drop by to see what's become of their produce; where locals learn butchery and curing techniques in the off-hours; where fresh, simple food does everything it's supposed to do. |
